Women of

Waikato

What's it all about?

We work with and tell stories about incredible women doing incredible things here in the Waikato. Their journeys and stories are rousing and powerful. In early 2018 we thought it would be really cool to provide a platform for those women to share their stories with others and to celebrate those who are achieving but fly under the radar. And their stories would provide empowerment and inspiration for those who hear them.

So we cooked up Women of Waikato. The first full-day event was held at Woodlands in May 2018 and saw a sold-out crowd of just under 100 listen to a fabulous line-up of speakers.

We made sure there was plenty of time for networking too, with lots of business cards being traded.

The end result? You told us you loved it and we heard from many of you afterwards who told us about what the day meant for you. For one woman, it was the catalyst for quitting her job to pursue her passion!

So we’re working on a new format for 2019 with a line-up of large scale events that will be run over a lunch with high profile speakers and a fundraiser attached to each event. As soon as the schedule is confirmed we will let you know here!

Who's it for?

People. That’s who. Women. Men. Transgender. Gender non-binary. Whatever. We’re not bothered about labels. Just come along!

If you’re in business, want to start your own business, if you’re an employer or employee, if you just want to hear some inspirational women talk about their journey then we’d love for you to come along. Everyone’s welcome!
